This painting is about neglecting things because they are difficult. The pillar represented a part of my life which was decaying, and left to rot, not because I didn’t care about it, but because I cared too much, and I didn’t know how to change it. The green and yellow evokes nature overgrown and full of weeds. The painting incorporates found materials such as putty, and its surface is dry with powered charcoal. It shows a mess of ancient, dilapidated aspects of oneself that demand to be noticed and tended to.

This painting is about ancient deep-rooted power. It was inspired by the pagan wheel of the year and the strength of the local healing women who were prosecuted during the 16th and 17th centuries as witches. Its redness evokes the deep sensual and sexual power of women and nature. The complete pallet of colours represent different times of the year, the grounded sense of the seasons, and respect for natural cycles. It is called Motherpiece because it reminds us of the ancestral power we have inherited from our foremothers who are gone but not forgotten.

This painting is about hope after betrayal. It is a portrait of my soul crying and being comforted. The muted grey and blue colours denote the grief, confusion, and pain following a loss. But there is a glimpse of hope incorporated in the red elements of the painting. Overall, it evokes butterfly wings, representing the soul in a process of transformation and renewal. As such, it reminds us that things change for good reasons that we sometimes cannot see until long after. It asks us to keep hold of the small blessings within the situation.

This painting is about coming into leadership and abundance. It was inspired by the colours of the ancient Indian goddess Lakshmi: yellow, pink and white. Yellow represents wealth, pink represents compassion, and white represents nature and motherhood. The added gold indicates divinity. It is said that Lakshmi presides over eight sources of the Ashta-Lakshmi or "Wealth": prosperity, fertility, good fortune, good health, knowledge, strength, progeny and power. This painting is a call for all of these benefits.

This painting is about integrating your shadow side. Black Moon Lilith is the name given to the point in astrology that represents the moon's furthest distance from Earth: the lunar apogee. It symbolises emotional suppression, personal sovereignty, and instinctive power. The dark blue and the dried flowers come directly from my Descent collection and exhibition and are contrasted with the bright yellow and gold representing consciousness and sunshine. The green merging of these two colours depicts the real time processing of shadow work as the subconscious and conscious become one.

This painting is about being whole. It was inspired by the ancient Greek goddess Aphrodite who emerged from the white foam of the sea (aphros means "foam"). Aphrodite was the Greek goddess of sexual love and beauty, but was descended from a more ancient archetype which included other powers such as political authority and divine law. Her oldest name was Aphrodite Mari - Mari meaning both womb and sea in ancient Sumerian. With its swirling thick white and sea coloured paint, mixed with splashes of gold powder and pockets of dark red, it depicts the multifarious aspects of womanly power.
